Reproduction of the original gasket fitted between the twin Solex carburettor and the air filter. The original Peugeot gasket gets distorted, broken and damaged after a few months in use. It is important to have a good seal between the carburettors and the air filter to improve performance and to prevent dirt from getting into the carburettor; a single piece of hair or dust can stop the car! I had these gaskets made from a stronger and thicker rubber than the original Peugeot gaskets (see comparison here). This reproduction of 1423.63 should also replace 1423.95 - the same gasket for a Peugeot 604 with 8.2 compression (low compression) motor.
